Daily Report epsd August 22nd 2017

Hi there...
Today as usual, i'm going to share my activities in the kitchen.
And today rey and me assigned to cook a few dish for lunch. So we're planing to make Rendang, Sayur Santan, and Telur Balado. For making those dish, we didn't use recipe so we only rely our knowledge.

Before we start to made the spice paste, yesterday we already slice the meat for rendang. And rendang use basic red spice paste consisting of, red chili, shallot, garlic, candlenut, coriander, and turmeric. The additional spice that we need are ginger, bay leaves, turmeric leaves, lemon grass, tamarind we also need coconut milk for the rendang sauce.

My friend Rei that cooked the Rendang, first saute the spice paste and enter the meat, pour some water. When it's bubbling, pour the coconut milk, lemon grass, bay leaves and turmeric leaves. After the meat is tender add a little bit brown sugar, and give taste usig salt and pepper, for finishing touch pour little bit of tamarind water.

Afrer cooking Rendang, we made the Telur Balado. Telur balado also use basic red spice paste.

Rei and me helping each other to cook Telur Balado. First we have to boil the egg until it's hard boiled, and peel the shell. Saute the sipce paste add some water, and give the taste using salt and pepper, give a little bit brown sugar too. Enter the hard boiled egg, wait until the spice paste percolate to the egg.

And after that I'm making the Sayur Santan, for Sayur Santan it's use basic white spice paste consisting of shallot, garlic, candlenut, coriander, and galangal. 
 
After preparing the spice paste, I cut the vegetables consisting of long bean, carrot, and potato into julienne shape. I blach the carrot and potatoes separately to make sure they cooked. Then saute the spice paste, pour carrot and potatoes, add some water, and liquid coconut milk, cook until tender. Enter the long bean, pour thick coconut milk. Give it taste using salt and pepper. 

When we finished the all the dish, we presenting our dish on a plate and garnish it. And Mr. Ichal ask Rei and me to explain how to made the dish today and why did we platting it like that.

I'm really happy because Alhamdulillah, I can finish the job that Mr. Ichal gived to me and Rei, and Mr. Ichal said that the dish we were cooked it's good and we can explain the dish with verry good too.
